    Default Best way to upgrade 4.0 to 4.3?

    I have an jailbroken iphone 4 on ios 4.0. I tried re jailbreaking it through Redsn0w with 4.3 firmware, and it completed the process successfully, but when the phone rebooted it still said I had 4.0.1.

    Was this the right process for upgrading to 4.3, if not how should I accomplish it?

    Does cydia show numbers in green on top of it's home page?

    Why not just upgrade to 5.0.1 and jailbreak with the latest version of redsn0w?
