Is there no way to update 3GS 4.2.1 iPad baseband to iOS 5.0.1?
I'm seriously losing it. I have tried every tutorial I could find with no help.Same issue except on 4.2.1(8c148a) oldbootrom iPad baseband jail broken and unlocked.
Ok I created a firmware ON sn0wbreeze it comes up as noBB
I also downloaded a custom firmware from snow breeze_iPhone 3GS-5.0.1_NBR_iPadbb
Neither works every time I restore I get a 1600 1601 1602 error. The phone is in pwned mode but I can't seem to upgrade to 5.0.1. I know my description is vague but ask all the questions you need. I used sn0wbreeze to cook my my firmware as well as redsnow. It won't even load the 5.0.1 I never get passed preparing iPhone for restore plz help. It seems like I'm building the firmware the wrong way, I've been at this for four days.Last edited by qbnucca; 12-28-2011 at 04:09 PM.

A 1600 error means that you have itunes pointed at Cydia. Use Tiny Umbrella and uncheck "set Cydia hosts on exit"
Then restore your custom fw with itunes.

Never got an error 10, but when I tweaked tiny umbrella it went through fine.

Figured it out - error 10 means I needed to upgrade to the latest version of iTunes. That would be the first time upgrading iTunes actually fixed something instead of breaking something...
