just upgraded from 4.3.3 to 5.0.1 (POSIX : operation timed out erros)

I upgraded to 5.0.1 and after jailbreaking it, on every source and package i download i get an operation timed out error then post installation errors at the end. is there any fix? i think its just the jailbreak it still has glitches and isnt fully ready.

seems to be related to the untethered jb being released... the servers are overloaded. hopefully they either address the problem, or just wait.
i'm sitting around with a half finished phone

and if you do get some stuff installed and not everything it will screw up safari.... i had to restore and rejailbreak.... now waiting like you till cydia and bigboss get their stuff together before i go any further.

Yeah I suggest just waiting a couple of days till the repos catch up on their traffic.

I was having the same problem, couldn't install winterboard, and Cydia wouldn't update. There was a new Redsn0w that was released this morning, I rejailbroke and everything seems to be working with Cydia now.

Same here. I had the problem. Rejailbroke with new version of Redsn0w and every thing is working well now.
