3GS on 4.3.3 06.15.00 Jailbreak/Unlock to IOS5

great, thats confirmed it, because in my tutorial i found for getting imessages to work, firstly part of that is to make sure it says wildcard activated, which it does, and the last part of it is to download a small app called ipusher, which when run, confirms that everything is ok and push is working fine.

simon, youve been a real class act, you deserve more than just thanx, but thats all i can give, just know that im off to watch girl with the dragon tattoo in the cinema with a big smile on my face.

try PushFix from iphonemodding.com repo in Cydia

this is more or less the same thing, and if you install that then maybe you could try ipusher again.

few things...... when you first ran ipusher, did you say yes when it asked you to accept push notifications?

also did you do the 3 reboots the guide talked about?

I had to rejailbreak. For some reason ultrasn0w is not working. I get "no service" even after adding http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com/ and then installing ultrasn0w... any thoughts?

Hello All!

Hoping I might be able to make the transition to iOS5. As the topic title says, I am currently running a 3GS on 4.3.3 (8J2) with firmware 06.15.00 and iBoot-359.3.2 (new bootrom). Is it possible to have an untethered jailbreak with an unlock? If so, how would I go about doing it? Thanks a ton!

Ok I created a firmware ON sn0wbreeze it comes up as noBB
I also download a custom firmware from snow breeze_iPhone 3GS-5.0.1_NBR_iPadbb
Neither works every time I restore I get a 1600 1601 1602 error. The phone is in pwned mode but I can't seem to upgrade to 5.0.1. I know my description is vague but ask all the questions you need. I used sn0wbreeze to cook my my firmware as well as redsnow. It won't even load the 5.0.1 I never get passed preparing iPhone for restore plz help. It seems like I'm building the firmware the wrong way, I've been at this for four days.

Try reinstalling ultrasnow. Also make sure 3G is off if you are on tmobile.

Use snowbreeze again and make a custom 5.0.1 using expert mode. Make sure to follow the instructions snowbreeze gives you once done for entering pwned DFU. Then shift restore to the custom firmware you made.

Perfect. Up and running unlocked. I install and followed those steps for iMessage. However, it still is not working even after SAM says "Wildcard Activated." I realized that I hadn't turned on iMessage, so I did that but it still says "waiting for activation." I restarted the phone but it made no difference.

Something involving SAM or ipusher put my phone into an endless rebooting loop so I ended up restoring/jb'ing/unlocking again, grrr, lol.

I gave up on that idea, haha. Just now getting my cydia apps with a few retrys but I'll try the pushfix
