Keep Gettiing error 1600 or 1602 when trying to update to 5.0.1
I keep getting errors 1600 or 1602 when I try to restore my iphone with customer firmware that I made with the newest redsn0w for the untethered jailbreak. I am trying to preserve my baseband. I made the custom firmware, ran redsn0w pwned dfu, went to itunes and tried to restore it. It loads for a few seconds and after "verifying with apple for restore" (or something like that) it gives me either of the errors. I am on a mac any help is appreciated

I got the same error as you are. Then I tried to do with another computer and it worked fine. But I'm on Windows

just and update to those who have had a similar problem, I just edited my host files which I had changed a couple jailbrakes ago and it worked like a charm. If you are on a mac: Edit Locked Host File On Mac OSX Lion - YouTubeLast edited by legazyiz; 12-27-2011 at 03:58 PM.

Thanks legazyiz. I'm on Win7 and editing the hosts file did the trick for me.
