Want to Update, NEED HELP ON BASEBND

i have an iphone 3gs on 3.1.3 which i want to update to either 4.1 (have the SHSH blob) or 5.0.1

my current baseband is "05.11.07", which is compatible with ultrasnow, which i also use

what i want to know is if i update to 4.1 or 5.0.1 will my baseband change and will i be able to stil use ultrasnow

(also if it will change how do i go about preserving my baseband)

Use snowbreeze or redsnow to preserve baseband while upgrading firmware. create custom ipsw and you should be good to go. Be aware 5.0.1 is still only tethered jailbreak, while 4.1 is untethered. good luck

i cant find a tutorial that shows me clearly how to do it for 4.1 (what i need and the steps i should take) . do you know how to do it or know where to find a good tutorial

click "If you want to jailbreak a lower firmware version you can find the appropriate tutorial HERE" after 1st 2 paragraphs, select your phone model and then 4.1 and then windows or OSX and tutorial is there
