Default Help, lost AT&T connection after jailbreak

After jailbreaking and reactivating, I encountered problems with the phone picking up AT&T. It continues searching for a network and the settings say no carrier. It doesn't make or receive calls. I jailbroke it with Redsn0w, and activated it with SAM.

In SAM Prefs, the activation state says wildcardactivated.

    I have a 3Gs, firmware 4.1, baseband 05.16

I followed jailbreaking and SAM steps accurately, but did I do something wrong, and is there anything that I can do to restore service to the device?

How do you re install carrier settings? I followed the instructions here iOS: About cellular data network settings (viewing or editing the APN) and iOS: Installing carrier settings updates but no luck. I didnt even get those expanded options in the cellular data field like the image shows in the first link.

You are using atnt , why are you hactivating with redsnow and using redundant Sam to activate. Restore to 4.1 again and use your sim to activate and get signal , definitely solve your issue.
