    Default iPhone 4 Jailbreaking Help!

Alright soo heres all the information and my issues that I'm having

My iPhone 4 was at 4.1 BB 2.10.somethingiforgot

Sooo I deleted everything connected to my new computer and wanted to jailbreak

note: I have never jailbroken before

So using snowbreeze I created a custom IPSW file for my iPhone 4 GSM

Put in DFU mode and when I go into iTunes to restore to the custom ipsw I get the error 3194

I've used tiny umbrella and edited my host files to add the apple ip address thing and i've tried removing it too. Still no luck can anyone help me?

    Thanks!

ios 5. And I have no idea as to what SHSH is, or how to know if I have.

Edit: This is a copy of my host file

    # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
    #
    # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
    # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
    # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
    # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
    # space.
    #
    # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
    # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
    #
    # For example:
    #
    # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
    # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

    # localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
    # 127.0.0.1 localhost
    # ::1 localhost

    74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com
    74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com

I've tried each individual one on their own, adding the # sign before and restarting, still no help.

Ok. First step is making a custom 5.0.1 firmware. You can't restore to 5.0 anymore.

After that open tiny umbrella. Click advanced and deselect the box that says "set hosts to cydia on exit". Then close tiny umbrella and proceed with the restore to the custom 5.0.1.

Do I need to take my iPhone out of DFU mode to create a custom 5.0.1 firmware?

    Thanks!

    EDIT:

Also if I wanted to unlock with baseband 2.10.04 on the custom ios 5 using ultrasnow will it be possbile? Or will I continue to have to use gevey sim?

You will still have to use a gevey sim. Ultrasnow doesnt work on that baseband.

No, you dont have to take the phone out of DFU to make a custom 5.0.1. Make sure to get snowbreeze to put it in pwned DFU though, otherwise you will get an error when restoring to the custom firmware.

No, you cannot change your baseband to get ultrasnow to work with it.

You enter pwned DFU by following the instructions snowbreeze gives you after it has completed making the custom firmware.

It's a tethered jailbreak. So of you want to use cydia you have to boot tethered with ibooty.
