Jailbreaking iPhone 3gs on 4.3.1 with Jailbreakeme.com doesn't work

I tried to jailbreak my friends iPhone 3gs with jailbreakme.com and when cydia gets to the installing point it craps out and a pop up comes up and says Internal error. Is there any way to fix this????

I did the exact same steps as those instruction said. It's just after Cydia is done downloading and installing, an internal error pop up comes up and keeps it from installing. I still need to try redsnow though.
