Upgrade 3GS (BB 6.15.00) from 4.1 to 4.3.5?

Hey you guys. I recently bought an unlocked 3GS on BB 6.15.00 with iOS 4.1 but I would like to upgrade it to 4.3.3. I really have no knowledge of redsn0w or any of those other programs and I really don't want to lose the unlock. Can anyone possibly give me a detailed explanation on how to do this? Thank you.

*edit* I realized that 4.3.5 can't be done untethered. In that case, how do I get 4.3.3 while keeping the unlock?

open cydia, at the top of the page where it says 'shsh:' all the firmwares it lists there, you can go to. if it doesnt have it there, you cant go to it. it would also be smart to check what boot rom it is. assuming you are running windows, go to ih8sn0w.com and download idetector. chuck your phone into dfu mode (some ppl say recovery mode works but dfu doesn't, so try both) and if it says old bootrom, you can have an untethered jb at any firmware. if not, you're stuck with the rest of waiting for an untethered iOS 5 jb

you can't. you're stuck on 4.1. live with it or buy a new phone.

Check your blobs on cydia & see if 4.3.3 is listed up there.

nope, not that much. however, i have the same situation as you, 4.1 with the ipad baseband. trust me, that baseband ain't going nowhere, and apple/itunes will see it everytime. 4.1 ain't bad. just play with 'til the iphone 5 comes out.

Usually when you buy a used iphone and is jailbroken and unlocked at 4.1, in general , it tells you this iphone will have ipad baseband and no other shsh blobs. If the seller has other blobs, your iphone would have been restored to a higher version.
