Default Jailbroke on 4.3 and Cydia shows SHSH blobs for 4.3.5????

I jailbroke my managers phone awhile back and he was on 4.3. Well he wanted to restore it and so I used tinyumbrella to try and restore back to 4.3. Well I went to Cydia and it showed 4.3.5 as the saved SHSH. He has never updated his phone since I jailbroke it.

Needless to say I was not able to restore it back to 4.3.

    Why did Cydia show 4.3.5?

That's correct. You can only save SHSH blobs for the IOS Apple is currently signing regardless of what IOS version the device is running.

I'm confused. When I JB his phone he was on 4.3 so what you're saying is that cydia only saved 4.3.5 because that is what apple was signing at the time? If so then I guess I could have tried to restore him to 4.3.5? Even though he never had 4.3.5 on his phone before?

Thanks for the help. Just want to make sure I understand this.

that's exactly correct. When his phone was jailbroken, 4.3.5 was being signed. You can only restore to 4.3.5 w/ the saved blobs or 5.0.1. You should go to 5.0.1 and save SHSH Blobs+APTicket to restore to that later as there is an untethered coming for that ios.
