Question Need some clarification about my Iphone 4 please.

    So I'm currently running T-mobile w/ Gevey sim on a 4.3.3 jailbroke iphone 4.
I want to upgrade to ios 5 as soon as they release the untethered version.
    A couple questions:
    1. Will Gevey Sim still work with ios 5? I know it has something to do with the baseband.
    2. What is the latest on the release for the ios 5 untethered version?
    3. Is Apple still signing ios 5?

Thanks in advance for any information. Sorry for being a newb, I'm learning a lil more everyday.

    1. If you preserve your baseband with a custom firmware in redsn0w/sn0wbreeze/PwnageTool, yes, it will still work. (that's how my iPhone 4 works on iOS 5.0.1 and is still unlocked with the Gevey SIM)
    2. 5.0.1. (latest public release)
    3. iOS 5.0.0, no, iOS 5.0.1, yes. 5.0.1 is still vulnerable to the exploit developed by pod2g.

    Merry Christmas!

^ as far as I know that exploit works on both ios 5.0.0 and 5.0.1 .. I guess it's a wait and watch.

Yep, 5.0.0 is also vulnerable, but 5.0.1 brings some nice fixes. No reason to not go on 5.0.1 when the jailbreak is released. And yep, we gotta wait.
