iphone locked on apple image

Hello please help me

Last night I downloaded a program off of cydia to give me more tabs in safari.

This morning i woke up and half of my apps were gone and then the phone crashed.

It has been previously unlocked for t-mobile and jailbroken.

I am not able to access any of the phones information. ie.. baseband, firmware.

I have tried to reboot and a restore (holding down power and home button and then releasing power button when apple logo image appears)and only get the apple image and a non spinning gear image.

Phone is unusable now

Hmmm.. Download ifaith. Dump shsh. Make a signed ipsw. Restore the phone .. Do u remember what iOS u on?

Well again i woke up this morning and the iphone is frozen with the apple logo and a non spinning wheel.

I am wondering if i should go ahead and restore it with one of the ipsw's on iclarified that match my version 4.2.1. with my base band at 1.59. (if so I could use a tutorial on how to do this)

Should I do this to try to restore function to my unlocked phone? ( t-mobile)

Or is there a tutorial somewhere that can help me out of this jam?

Should i consider an upgrade for the phone at the same time? (Newer version fw)
