Bricked iPhone 4G

Hi,

I was trying to jailbreak my brothers friends iPhone while he was on 4.3.4 and i was following a youtube video on how to that says for 4.3.3-5 but clearly after i did it and noticed something wrong I looked up and found out that 4.3.4 couldnt be jailbroken and how when ever i try to restore it back to 4.3.4 (also tried to restore from the latest firmware) and got the 3194 so then after looking up that i had to use Tiny umbrella to avoid that i get the errors, 20,11 and 2005 and different times like at one point i would get error 20, but when i fix that i get the error 2005 or error 11. so far all the iPhone can do is turn on and enter recovery mode. I gotta have the phone back by Monday so any advice would be helpful,

If you dont have shsh backed up you cant go back to 4.3.4 so just goto 5.0.1 if its giving u an error doing that then its probably from a modded host file so just get an modded one and you should be good to go on 5.0.1

I was able to get down to 4.3.1 and i was jailbreaking it with redsn0w but it got stuck at one point while trying to jailbreak and again i checked youtube and it said to put it into DFU mode but now im stuck in DFU mode i cant exit out of it using iReb or TU

Sometimes when i use iREB it kicks it out of DFU mode but then runs some greenpois0n code, reboots then im back into DFU mode

Try fixrrcovery from the tinyumbrella site if not try running green poison with the phone off and plugged in already even if it boots into dfu mode go through the steps as if ur doing a fresh jailbreak its worked for me randomly after no other programs kcked my phone outta dfu/recovery so try it a few times and see

Nvm i found the one for 4.3.1 but when i try to jailbreak it it seems to get stuck at the code screen

For some reason i thought it said 4.2.1 but yea if ur on 4.3.1 u gotta do redsnow jb so i would try fixrecovery off of the tiny umbrella site u gotta keep trying it maybe a few times in a row and itll eventually go, do u have any other shsh backed up?

that fixrecovery from TU doesnt work i get some .dll error and yeah i got my 5.0.1 shsh backed up but i keep getting a 1600 error when i try to restore to that

k i did my redsn0w jailbreak again but now i get stuck at "Installing Activation bundles" like i did last time

if your getting a zlib error try downloading this redownload fixrec and place them both in a folder on the desktop if your getting some other dll error let me know wat it is

I got past the stuck in DFU mode with the redsn0w JB but its stuck loading on "Installing Activation Bundles" appearantly on youtube to fix it you gotta reboot it with Power + Home and then plug in your cord but when i did that it got me stuck in DFU mode, so im kinda scared to do that, is it just really taking that long? cause if so i dont mind waiting it out knowing itll turn on for sure

You could try that sometimes it takes a few tries to get things like that going if not download that dll and put it in the folder with fixrecovery and run it and it should just kick u out of the loop then im pretty sure u can use jailbreakme

I waited it out and it put my back into DFU mode and i cant get out with that fixrecovery thing

You should restore to 5.0.1 and don't mess around too much and you will eventually get an error 28, then you have to open up your iphone to reset it.

so would i need to use my shsh in iFaith on a clean 5.0.1 then restore?

try right clicking on fix recovery goto compatibility check off run in compatibility with windows xp and check off run as admin and run itunes before you open it see if it works

yeah i got fixrecovery to work but that stupid greenpoison thing keeps popping back up n running some code n puts my phone back in dfu everytime

I try to upgrade back to 5.0.1 but i keep getting an error 1600 x.x

Maybe try downgrading itunes if ur using 10.5 to downgrade ur phone and is fixrecovery going all the way to the end it should say exiting something i forgot exactly what if not then its not finished and you should leave ur phone untouched until it says finished

You don't need to downgrade itunes to downgrade your IOS to 4.xx, what you need is shsh blob saved. When you restore to 5.0.1, you let apple verify your restore.
Once restored , you can use ifaith to dump your apticket blob for future restore. You can jailbreak your 5.0.1 with redsn0w 0.9.9b8 , untethered jailbreak is coming soon.

I didnt say that he NEEDS to downgrade but that may be it because when i was downgrading my phone to 4.3.3 it got stuck in a loop and nothing would kick it out but then when i downgraded itunes to 10.2.17 it worked no errors and i had no problem when using fixrecovery so like i said try that if anything cause it seems your running out of options and your last one is too update to 5.0.1 which is giving you an error anyway

I saved my 5.0.1 blobs but they arent working i think, or maybe i just dont know how to use them right

EDIT: I guess out of luck i was able to restore to 5.0.1, but is there anyway i can still downgrade it to a firmware thats still jailbreak-able, like without shsh blobs cause i dont have any saved other than my 5.0.1 blobs or is there a way i can just unlock my phone on 5.0.1 without needing a jailbreak
