i am using a jailbroken iphone 4. my phone got disabled due to wrong password and now i want to restore my phone back. please help me with this

Do one thing dump your shsh using ifaith and restore.

i tried to restore it in itune after dumping shsh... but itunes is upgrading it to ios5.1 which will result in locking of my phone i guess...

Just use ifaith . Dump shsh
Make a signed ipsw.
Put phone in pwned dfu.
Shift restore in iTunes . Dont click on update. Hold shift and Click on restore.

i tries to make a signed ipsw. it is downloading firmware from the server....is this the correct way..??

yeah...its downloading ipsw ...about 666mb same as the firmware ( i guess)

If phone is all ready updated to 5.0.1 ur stuck...ifaith only works on working phone with the current iOS it is currently running....

He is not on 5.0.1 . IFaith automatically downloads firmware whose shsh it has dumped afaik. I might be wrong

No your right. It downloads whatever version needed automatically when you hit the download button.

after making a signed ipsw in ifaith i tried shift+restore in itunes but i got an error(1600)

i restored using itunes. but my phone got locked. i am using a gevey sim. nd trying to use redsnow for unlocking...

even after inserting sim card ( which i used before the phone got disabled ) emergency screen is not going

Dude....i restored my iphone 4 using ifaith as you told and jailbreaked it using redsnow. but that was a tethered one. Is there any way to make a untethered jail break..??

4.3.5 is not untethered.
