Tethered 8GB 3GS on 4.2.1 and 6.12.00

Common procedure is to run greenpoison on this phone to unthether it. Unfortunately it wont work on this particular phone... I'm wondering if there is some combination of TinyUmbrella, iFaith and Snobreeze I could use to restore this phone without getting a blank imei. I wouldnt even mind updating it to 5.0+ even if I cant unlock it.

any ideas?

If your baseband is already 6.15, then restoring to custom firmware will not blank out your BB, IMEI or WIFI.
Don't flash your ipad bb again as there is always a risk when doing so.

Do you have shsh?
If yes make a custom firmware with sn0wbreeze.
Put phone In pwned dfu.
start TSS server from TU.
Open iTunes.
Shift restore.

unfortunately i don't have any blobs for the phone, sorry forgot to mention that earlier.

I ran ifaith and pulled a 4.2.1 blob from the phone and restored it successfully!
