Default iPhone 3GS iOS 5.0 Rebooting over and over

My iphone 3gs is jailbroken in iOS 5.0 and unlocked and had been working fine for the past few weeks. The main problem was that it would randomly reboot making me have to tether boot it. I used SemiTether, however, that never worked for me as it always got stuck on the loading circle. Other than that, my phone worked normally.

However, now the issue has esclalated because when I tether boot it, the phone would shut down into the Apple logo again after like 2 or 3 minutes. I can't send texts or make calls either.

NOTE: When I take out my SIM card, the iPhone would just work as an normal functioning iPod touch with no issues.

Should restore my iPhone on iTunes, would that require me to update to 5.0.1 and is that recommended? Seems like I need to rejailbreak it in some way.

I think I've read that semi tether can cause that...yeah unless u have blobs and go back to 4.x u don't have much of a choice but to go up if u restore

I dont unlock or know too much about it...but how r u unlocked on 5.0?

I deleted SemiTether, and nothing happens. I think I might just end up restoring and updating later tonight. I'll keep you posted.

I installed UltraSnow 1.2.4 from Cydia to unlock my phone.

Is there really no way of restoring on iOS 5? I have heard that unlocking on iOS 5.0.1 is a really complicated process.
