3GS on 5.0.1

Hey everyone looking to see if someone could help me out again.

3GS newbootrom running 5.0.1
Custom ipsw with snowbreeze
Jb with redsnow
Tethered

Everything is fine. I need some help unlocking it for my wife. I got help with my phone using SAM/SAM prefs but not to sure if this will
work with 5.0.1.
If anyone can help it would be really appreciated!

What is your Baseband?
I see you have noted tethered. Am I to assume you are running the ipad BB? 06.15.00? or something above 05.13.04?

Yes you are correct. 6.15.00.

You should be able to go to cydia and run ultrasnow.
Do you remember if you checked unlock when you set up your custom firmware?
Now that I read your post again you have CFW with snowbreeze and jailbreak with redsnow, why.
I also do not think ultrasnow works with 5.0.1 yet. You may need to go back to 4.1. Do you have your blobs saved?

If you don't have any other blobs, a 4.1 untethered jailbreak can be done with custom 4.1 firmware. iTunes is still signing 4.1 for the 3GS, so all 3GS can go to 4.1 - it's been this way for a while, but who knows if it's going to be here permanently. 4.1- quick- easy- correct- done

@ offroad- i did it the way i did after watching numerous videos on youtube. Kinda corny right! In Guam though not to many people willing to help without money. Im stationed here and the best way is to view and view and view videos.

@Murseman- I dont remember right off the bat about the blobs. I want to say 4.1 is saved.

I just got back from TDY so I will go through and see if any of these will help. Thanks again for your input. Hoping you guys can help me and my wife.
