i'm still running into 3194. I did an shift restore on a computer that hasn't even seen TU. so the hosts file is in tact. i did the restore on the 5.0.1 ipsw. i also tried just a regular update... also 3194 error.

my ipad still is plugged in, and itunes recognizes its. sees that its on 4.3.3. it even lets me add picturs as if its fine. just a black screen.

You haven't been able to restore to 5.0.1 , take it to apple and let them do it for you.
Do a tether boot from black screen . let me know.

Do you think the apple store will do a restore to 5.0.1 for me? Seeing as how it's jailbroken, I heard they have a policy of not working on jailbroken devices. If yes, then, in what state do I bring it in to them? With the device on or in pwned DFU mode?

I have no idea how, but I was able to get my ipad back up. I went on a new computer that never had itunes installed. I downloaded the latest version if itunes. I clicked restore and it restored. My screen is back to normal. And I am on the latest firmware. I believe the 5.0.1. But even though I cannot JB, I am so so so happy I didn't brick it. Thanks for the support iYeow. Though your suggestions didn't necessarily fix it, I appreciate the time.
