I have an old iPod Touch 3g 64 GB that I have that thinks is an iPhone. The unit was given to me as broken and I have been trying to fix it. When I plug the device in the usb port iTunes tells me that it has found an iPhone in recovery mode. I have tried to restore with any firmware related to the iPod Touch 3g but with no success. When plugged in, with USBView I see this:
What does it all mean?Why 2 different iProduct and which one is the correct one? How to remove the iPhone ID. Is it possible or is it a lost cause?

The only problem is that I can't create a custom firmware in order to use the SSH option. I have downloaded sn0breeze for 3.1.2 , but when I try to load the 3.1.2 ipsw file , it tells me that it is not the correct one. Any other idea how to create it?
