3gs 4.1 to 5.0.1 question

Ok so from what I've read on here because I have no shsh blobs for anything but 4.1 I can only upgrade to 5.0.1 because apple is not signing anything else please let me know if this is correct and if so when I make a custom firmware for 5.0.1 do I need to install iPad baseband if I'm already on it with 4.1

If any of this doesnt make sense please ask me for more info kinda new at the jailbreak unlock thing,Thanks

No, don't restore to 5.0.1 as Ultrasn0w cannot unlock it yet. Do you need unlock and what is your current baseband ?

no I'm on 6.15.00 baseband unlocked Iwasnt going to upgrade yet because I dont think 5.0.1 will work with iPad baseband yet I was hoping to upgrade to 4.3.3 to stay untethered but without my SHSH blobs I dont think I can

Ultrasnow 1.2.4 can unlock ipad bb up to 5.0 , not 5.0.1. You won't get any signal at 5.0.1
