After opening cydia, it's been stuck "Loading Data" for over 30 minutes. I've done a hard re-boot three time and it's still stuck. Left it alone for 20 minutes and it's still stuck.
What would you suggest to get out of this mode?
***Never mind. It finally stopped and I'm uploading the 6 changes in Cydia. It took about 40 minutes
I didn't know that was an option. Will it work better than Redsn0w?

Spirit and Redsn0w do the same thing. But for Spirit you need an official SIM to activate with or you'll be stuck on the emergency call screen. And yeah iPhone 3G can take from 15 minutes to an hour to load Cydia as the hardware is dated.
Edit: I mean load Cydia for the first time after a restore and jailbreak.
