Unable to restore from 4.3.3 from 4.3.3 error code 1
I am trying to restore back to my current firmware, cause my iphone got really slow. While in dfu mode and shift + restore i browse to ipsw 4.3.3. I wait and it gave me an unknown error code of 1 and restore fail now i am stuck in recovery mode. Any help will be appreciated, i had my ssh blobs saved on cydia, but I can't find it anywhere now..

Check for the blobs with TinyUmbrella.
Error 1 according to iPhone wiki:
-You are attempting to downgrade an iPhone from iOS 5 to iOS 4.x. To resolve, use either custom firmware created by ---PwnageTool/sn0wbreeze or use notcom's FixRecovery utility available on his site.
-On an iPhone 4 downgrading from iOS 5, use the option in TinyUmbrella to allow a baseband "upgrade" to bypass the error and go back to basband 4.10.1.
-Unable to downgrade. Try changing the USB port (the back one of chassis is better) and restart computer.
-The installed version of iTunes may also be too old. Update iTunes.
Not all of the above is applicable simultaneously, one may be applicable.

I think your problem here is you have not used 4.3.3 blob to verify your 4.3.3 restore. If you have it stored in cydia, you need to download it and use tss server.

Run tiny umbrellla, without plugging in , do you see your iphone device on left pane ?
Is this iphone 4 ?
If your iphone is bootable, then it is easy for tiny umbrella to capture your ECID but if TU has not captured your device while your iphone was bootable , then you have to find out your ECID and manually input into TU and download your blob only if you have it saved while apple was signing.
If you don't have any blob, your restore will be 5.0.1 , the current fw being signed.Last edited by iYeow; 11-12-2011 at 08:10 PM.

A recovery screen is not considered a bootable state ,a bootable state is where you can see your icons. What windows are you using on ur pc

Windows 7, what other choices can I do now?
I had my blobs saved on Cydia Server, but i don't keep a copy of it. If i restore & update which is IOS 5.0.1, would I be able to downgrade back to 4.3.3?Last edited by LoopInEXUS; 11-12-2011 at 08:37 PM.

Yes, if you restore to 5.0.1 , you can downgrade to 4.xx only if you have the blob.
Your tiny umbrella cannot open so you cant use TSS server.
You can point your hosts file towards cydia by adding the ip address into your hosts file , put iphone into pwned dfu and restore to custom firmware of 4.3.3 ( assuming you have it in cydia server )

So, I should restore & update to 5.0.1, and downgrade it while having my host file point to the cydia server? I am not sure this works, currently i am downloading the custom ipsw by snowbreeze, hope it can downgrade using that ipsw..

Ok then restore to the latest , let apple verify your restore to iOS 5.0.1
Do all your updates on windows 7 , it seems odd , tiny umbrella doesn't run.

No, you can run TU even without an iphone .Do you restore to iOS 5 first, then try and get your TU running .

Yes, just restore & updated to IOS 5.0.1. Will try to downgrade to 4.3.3 now, does clean ios 4.3.3 ipsw do?
Still can't launch, tiny umbrella. When I try to restored to 4.3.3 it gave me 3194 error code, I did change the host file and point to cydia server.Last edited by LoopInEXUS; 11-12-2011 at 09:31 PM.

You have to get tiny umbrella working first. Plug iphone in, adv tab : select request shsh blob from cydia and click save shsh. Under general tab if you see 4.3.3 blob , then you can downgrade using custom fw 4.3.3
Or point your hosts file to cydia
Put iphone into pwned dfu and restore to cfw 4.3.3 but this method is a 50/50 chance of failure.Last edited by iYeow; 11-12-2011 at 09:36 PM.
