iOS5 upgrade
Hi all - I, like most, have been waiting for untethered JB, but when I read that 5.01 came out I downloaded it and saved it on my windows (ugh!) computer. How do I go about downloading on my iPhone 4(GSM) via iTunes? Every time I hook it up the download for 5.01 comes up. This obviously isn't one of my strong points. Could someone explain it to me in simple detail? Thank you very much!

Sorry, maybe I'm not reading this right. What is it that you're wanting to do?

Oh, you can't. Apple stopped signing iOS 5 already.

So I'm stuck until there is a JB for 5.0.1 now?

Right, 5.0 is history now. You cannot restore to 5.0 anymore as the blob cannot be saved.

Well, even if you did restore to 5.0 and with the slightest mistake it crashes, you will be back to 4.xx with your blob if you care about jailbreaking it. No fun eh..

You can't go to 5.0 anymore apple doesn't sign it. 5.0.1 is the only one now. Or downgrade if ya have ya blobs.

+1. You can't upgrade to 5.0, you can't downgrade to 5.0 from 5.0.1. All you can do besides get stuck on 5.0.1 is restore to any iOS 4 that you may have SHSHs saved for. You're better off staying where you are now, on 4.3.3.

If you don't have 4.3.3 blob with cydia, i suggest you use latest ifaith to dump your 4.3.3 blob for future downgrade/ restore.
