Redsnow Jailbreak poor battery now

Hi well done my first jailbreak today, used redsnow 0.9.6rc18 installed cydia , upgraded baseband to 6.15 and then used ultrasnow to unlock phone (3g 4.2.1)

Its my wifes phone and she says the battery is running down really quickly so......

Can i unjailbreak now? Or do i loose the unlock?
Because i have made the baseband 6.15 is i possible to return phone to stock apart from this?
Is there anything i can download to turn off background apps that are using the battery?

The background apps doesn't use battery, it just use up RAM.
You cannot unjailreak as you need the unlock.
However, you can restore to custom firmware of 4.1 to see if your battery drain is less.

So if the unlock isnt too important (only done it so we can use a dif sim card in Australia for hols) i can reverse everything?
Im not bothred about leaving the baseband as long as i can remove cydia and the actual jailbreak when we return, she will just need to keep a charger handy over there
