Restore and update buttons greyed out

I just bought a iphone4 ios5.0 pf someone. It was on the emergency screen when i got it. I jailbroke it with redsnow. When i connect to itunes, it syncs but the restore and uptade buttons are grayed out. Any ideas? Connecting my 3gs doesnthave this problem. And if anyone can explain to me whatis the deal with the shsh when ur on 5.0?

And to add. When i enter cydia, on top where it usually shows ur saved shsh blobs, it says "this device is in pending tss que"
Any ideas what that means?

Pending request means you will not have any 4.xx blobs. Not sure why both are grey out.

Even if im on 5.0 that means i cant get that shsh for 5.0? Does that mean that if lets say 5.1 comes out and i update that this phone wont b able to come back to 5.0?
How can i do a restore if its greyed out? Any other way? Thanks for the reply

Put your iphone into recovery mode should allow you to restore.
No more blob saving from iOS 5 onwards, so if your iphone crashes , you will be forced to the next firmware where apple is signing.

Ok. It worked. For some reason the semi tether is not working on my phone. U know what could be the reason? Thabks for all the help

What do you mean semi tether not working on your iphone ? This jailbreak is a tethered jailbreak.

Its tethered but i installed that big boss semi tethered tweak where ur supposed to b able to boot up without a pc but with limited capabilities. The thing is, my wont boot at all without redsnow

Have you tried reinstalling again ? what is the name of the tweak ?

i tried reinstaling it a couple of times. Its named semi tether. its in semitethered jailbreak | iPhone News, Apps, BigBoss, Guides & Jailbreaking source. they wrote about it in the big boss blog
