[Q] How to restore a jailbroken phone ??

I am looking to get a second hand iphone 4 but its jailbroken already. Phone is factory unlocked as it was purchased brand new in New Zealand.

If I want to restore it to an updated iOS 5.0, what process do I need to follow? Can i just simply restore it via iTunes ?

Or would I need to find out what jailbreak version its using ? How can I find that out ?

Just do it threw iTunes. Don't matter what jailbreak ya have.

The link is for IOS 4 and below. Just update itunes , you can download IOS 5 firmware and do a shift + restore to the downloaded IOS 5. ipsw. You will need the firmware for a tethered jailbreak .
