I bought my iPhone 3G in Egypt when they used to sell it with locked GPS, an unlock was found at that time for the GPS by replacing the 'locationd' file with a patched one. Unfortunately this was the case only for the earliest firmeware, then later I upgraded to 3.1.3 and now 4.2.1 and in both the GPS isn't working cuz there was no new locationd file issued for them, I still have the wifi and GSM location which has a bigger radius and also take longer to upgrade.

I'm wondering if I get the locationd file from a gps unlocked phone, will it work on my iphone, and in this case how can I get it?
