What tools/programs are used in jailbreaking?

I'm sure this has been asked before but, what is used to find exploits and then create a package for jailbreaking? I have very basic coding skills but am willing to learn. I have nothing but free time on my hands so i might as well do something productive. Anyone know about this?

I think he was asking what tools were used to actually find the exploits used in jailbreaking Yeow. Not the actual jailbreaks themselves.
