Trying to restore 3GS to iOS 5

Hi, I'm currently running iOS 5 on my 3GS (iPad BB). I'm trying to restore it. After I put my device in Pwned DFU mode and "Option-click" restore and choose the custom iOS 5.0 I created with Redsn0w 0.9.9b6, I get the following message: "This iPhone cannot be restored. It's not eligible for the requested build" When I try restoring while running Tinyumbrella's TSS Server, I get a 3014 error.

What should I do?

You don't use TU to help you restore to custom firmware of iOS 5, point your hosts file towards apple server. Run TU and set your hosts file back to apple server under adv tab, close it, put iphone into pwned dfu and restore to cfw of iOS 5.

Thanks for the answer. However, would it be possible for you to be a bit more precise with the instructions? The thing is, I've been jail breaking iPhone(s) for a while now. However, I've just recently switched to a mac and thus I'm not sure how I should go about performing all the steps you wrote.

You run tiny umbrella, uncheck : set host file to cydia and close it. RunRedsn0w 0..99b7 not 6 , use it to put your iphone into pwned dfu mode. Once you are in dfu mode, run itunes : option + restore to custom fw of IOS 5.
