New to the forum, hope someone can help me out! I bought an iPhone 4 from the US (I live in Argentina) - it came pre-installed with IOS 5 but was locked to AT&T. I downloaded Redsn0w 0.9.9b6 and ran "Jailbreak and install Cydia" which ran through correctly on the PC. The phone reached the screen with the spinner which froze and wouldn't move at all. Left it for over an hour and still nothing. So then I downloaded the original IOS5 IPSW and ran it through Snowbreeze 2.8b8, put the phone in pwned DFU mode (using Redsn0w) and installed it using iTunes. It ran through everything perfectly but on booting the phone using Redsn0w's "Just boot", it isn't activated!
I tried downloading a custom IPSW IOS5 image from the Internet but it also froze while installing in iTunes and wouldn't finish, so I finally went for Snowbreeze 2.7.3 and IOS 4.3.3. Again, I put the phone into pwned DFU mode and tried restoring but I got an error 3194. I ran TinyUmbrella, started the TSS server and tried running the restore again - error 2005.
Please help!!
I've just tried using redsn0w 0.9.6rc16 with the original 4.3.3 IPSW and it goes through correctly on the PC, but on the phone itself, I get the following:
"Mounting rootfs as read-only
ERROR!
AppleImage3NDRAccess::start imageversion: 3
AppleEmbeddedUSBArbitrator::_USBCableTypeNotificat ionGated : cableType has not changed
AppleBCMWLAN::handleIOKitBusyWatchdogTimeout(): Error, no successful firmtware download after 60000 ms!! Giving up..."
and then just freezes. Anyone got any ideas how I can get this phone up and running?? I don't mind if it's 4.3.3 untethered or 5 tethered!

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I don't have a 4.3.3 blob as when I bought the phone, it was already on IOS 5 with this baseband! I was just wondering if that baseband would be the reason that installing 4.3.3 won't work? Any ideas how I can actually get any IOS installed and activated? Wouldn't I be able to update the baseband to 06.15, the iPad one??
And yes we have iPhones in Argentina but they're MUCH more expensive than importing from the US!
