Iphone Restore from 4.2.1 (8C148) to 4.3.3

Hi,

I'm having errors when restoring my Iphone 4 from 4.2.1 (8C148) to 4.3.3 so I could jailbreak it.
I downloaded the ipsw at limera1n.
My baseband is 03.10.01
What method should I use? I already tried the editing hosts and tiny umbrella and I'm getting error 3194 and 2005.
And what is the best jailbreak method for this.

You have to download your 4.3.3 blob only if you have it saved when apple was signing the firmware and use it to help you restore .

Hi thanks for your reply. What I did right now is used tinyumbrella and saved shsh and tried start tss service. I tried running itunes and it's starting to restore but error 1604 comes out. Did I just do what you told me to do? Sorry if I don't understand terms like blob.

Do you see your 4.3.3 blob under general tab ?

No I don't see 4.3.3 blob under general tab of tinyumbrella. I do see the saved SHSH file that says iPhone4 5.0gm (9A334).
Take note that my current firmware is 4.2.1 and about to upgrade/restore to 4.3.3
I already did the start tss service running and already bypassed the error 3194. As it is preparing to restore, I get an error 1604 this time.
What should I do this time? Thanks!

Then you can’t restore to 4.3.3 , only 5.0

Go ahead and restore to IOS 5, tethered jailbreak isn't that bad for now. But if you are using gevey sim,you need to restore to custom fw.
