4.1 baseband 01.59.00 iphone 4 want to go to ios5
Hello all and first of all im sorry if im posting in the wrong place...
I have my iphone 4 jailbroken on 4.1 with a baseband of 01.59.00 and its unlocked to be used with telcel (mexican company)...
So basically what i want to do is go to ios5 and if i read right with my baseband im able to keep the unlock?
I havent been in the jailbreak scene for a while so i want to know if im right or wrong on the steps i need to do...
1.I have a mac and i believe i have to use RedSn0w 0.9.9b7 to first get a custom ISPW created that does not update baseband am i right?
2. Use itunes and click option while clicking restore or update?
I kind of tried to do that a while ago and itunes was giving me an error which i cant recall rightnow so i gave up...
But i would appreciate any tips or steps i should take to go to ios5 and keep my unlock on my iphone 4....
Thanks in advance

You missed one part, putting iphone into pwned dfu prior to restoring to custom firmware.

Did you enter pwned dfu, not normal dfu. Do you know where your hosts file in Mac , make sure there is no ip address pointed at Cydia server. What you want is to verify your restore with Apple.

I only know about puting the iphone on dfu by holding home and power button 10 secs then only the home button by itself... And no i dont have a clue about my macs file hosts but if you can tell me what or where are those i would appreciate it, by the meanwhile im gonna do some research about them by searching, again thanks
