iPhone 4S jailbreak status?

I'm looking online but I am having trouble basically finding any "official" info on a 4S jailbreak.

I assume people are obviously working on it but where are we at? Is there any progress on a 4S+iOS5 jailbreak or any updates from official parties about it?

Currently on a jailbroken 3GS and wondering if I should go pick up a 4S or wait...

No, they are not iPhone_dev on twitter. There is the iPhone dev team who make redsnow, ultrasnow and pwnage tool. And then there is the Chronic Dev Team which released greenpoison. They are different teams.

i sadly do not think that the jailbreak will continue, remember, most of them or at least the main players have been either hired by apple or Facebook, thus making a jailbreak a very lengthy process. wasn't muscle nerd spotted at the apple campus recently?

There's hundreds of hackers out there. I'm sure those people will eventually figure it out.
