Wow, extremely stuck after a day/half of trying restore options, phone won't boot
Wow I am really hoping some real techies in here can help me. My iPhone4 was/is unlocked and jailbroken and I am on version 4.1 with firmware 02. BUT my itunes is updated to the latest version.
I am trying to restore and or clean everything off my phone so that I can sell it.
I have tried all possible restores with itunes etc and using the DFU mode. I even tried updating to 5.
I even tried the resetting option on the iphone itself but after 12-14hrs nothing really happened other than what I see now "the apple logo" and sometimes I see the "gear" spin. Then it goes away and will come back.
And everytime I tried restoring I would see itunes "extracting" the software but at the end (rather quickly) the message popped up "your iphone is not eligible for this build".
I think I bricked the phone? I heard it was near impossible to brick but I really think I might have.
Any thoughts or suggestions? My phone currently won't even boot up to an OS.
Thanks very much in advance.
Stuck stuck stuck. F

You have to put your iphone into recovery mode and restore again.

Is it still under warranty ? If yes, then they will. Apple store is just on W. Georgia and Howe street .
I like going to the one in OakRidge Mall...Lol

Can I bring it over?
I am still really stuck. And have tried everything. I do believe this is a very TOUGH nut to crack at this point. Perhaps you are much more tech savvy.
Cheers

I just want to take time to thank the mod iYeow for taking time to restore my phone for me. I had tried for a day and a half trying several different things with no such luck.
It was for his generousity and time that my phone was restored.
Thanks a bunch.
P.S iYeow for supermod
