How I could not copy & paste music to my iTunes 9.0 on Win7 or Win XP Pro?

I have tried many times to copy & paste music from my Win 7 to iTunes 9 w/o success but I can easily do so with my iTunes 10.5 which I re-installed on my Win 7 as like before. Now I have another older system running Win XP Pro with this iTunes 9 installed which is also unable to copy & paste to this iTunes. Please advise why and how? Thank you.

I never tried that...I always just use the import function.

So there are no other ways other than to use import? like can teach me how, newbie, cos all the while I copy & paste with my iTunes with Win 7

I'm not sure. I mean I've never seen it personally to copy and paste it

But I guess you could try importing it if you can no longer get it to work the way you used to.
