iPhone 2g Jailbreak or activate

Hi, I'm trying to active or jailbreak my old iPhone 2g.... But Redsnow doesn't recognize the ipsw, and itunes doesn't even want to activate it... I'm using a sim card that's activated... Can someone help? Please I really need this. My iPhone 4 is out for repair, and I'm going to use this as a replacement phone.

Are you using a carrier's SIM that the iPhone is locked to? It should officially activate fine in iTunes if you are.
