    Default Upgrading error

I have a 3gs and am running windows 7. When ios4 came out I jailbreaked using JailbreakMe 3.0 straight off my iphone and have been running that for about a year now. Until a couple days ago it ran perfectly. Now all my legit app store apps started insta crashing when I tried to open them, and my iphone would crash to the connect to itunes screen all the time. I connected to Itunes and it told me to upgrade to iOS5, and having heard good things about iOS5 I decided to suck it up and do it.. It made it about half way before saying iPhone could not be restored, unknown error (-1). I put it in recovery mode and tried 4 or 5 times with the same error. Some site told me to get tiny umbrella and boot it from recovery, I did that and now I get errors before it even starts recovery, while its verifying with apple. (11) (2005) (3114).

I can't open my iphone at all, I either get the apple logo or the connect to Itunes with no slider. Any ideas?
    Thanks

I have updated to the latest version of iTunes. As for my host file, I was told to add that line. My host currently looks like this:

    # Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
    #
    # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
    #
    # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
    # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
    # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
    # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
    # space.
    #
    # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
    # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
    #
    # For example:
    #
    # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
    # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

    # localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
    # 127.0.0.1 localhost
    # ::1 localhost
    #74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
    #127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com

Do you want me to remove both the bottom lines?

    Thanks

Look its way more easy to reset your host file. This is how you do it www.bit.ly/resethostsfile or www.bit.ly/resethostfile just click on microsoft fix it and when complete dont forget to reboot

    www.bit.ly/resethostsfile click on that one

Changing my host file did work, and my phone was restored and updated to 5.0. However, it only lasted a couple hours. It crashed right away and now is stuck on the apple logo for a couple minutes, then loads the configuration screen where it tells me to connect to itunes. When I do connect to iTunes, iTunes crashes, and after about 20 seconds the phone reboots. Any ideas?
