I don't want to screw it again! iOS 5
Hi everyone, I'm stucked in DFU loop after trying to upgrade my 3GS 3.1.3 to 4.3.3 fw without shsh blobs. iYeow told me to upgrade to iOS 5. If I use my iDevice with an unofficial carrier (not AT&T) and I have new bootrom with 05.12.01 BB.
Which steps should I follow in order to get my iPhone back?

Snowbreeze is able to make custom firmwares that don't upgrade the baseband.

+1, restore to custom firmware of IOS 5 to preserve your bb to be unlocked with Ultrasn0w.

which one is better? Snowbreeze or RedSnow?? What else do I need? TU? iReb?, Do I have to modify host file?

It depends, what you want is not to point your hosts filet towards Cydia. You want apple to verify your Ios 5 restore.
Use Redsn0w for Mac to build cfw.
If you don't have a Mac, then use Snowbreeze to build one.
