after rollback to 4.3.3, itunes wont allow use of backup which is listed in Devices

so, after rolling iphone 4 from 5 > 4.3.3 and itunes from 10.5.x > 10.1.2.17, Preferences > Device shows the backup i want, but itunes wont let me restore against it.

i get this on an xp machine and a win7 machine.


any ideas why this would be?

This is normal, your backup file has been updated and when you downgrade ,iTunes won't let you setup as a backup restore.
If you have planned ahead that you would need the backup restore in case you need to downgrade. When you restore to iOS 5, you should have setup as a new iphone under a different name, then when you downgrade, you can setup as backup restore.
