Old stuff... Need help please...
I got my hands on a 3G with 3.1.3 on it STILL lol. What I'm trying to do is, upgrade it to 4.2.1 and preserve the baseband.
I've got my custom 4.2.1 ipsw made with sn0wbreeze. I just want to put the thing in pwned DFU mode so iTunes will accept the custom ipsw.
What program do I use to put a 3G running 3.1.3 in pwned DFU mode?!
iTunes gives me error 1600 and my host files ARE pointing at Apple... It's been SO long since I messed with a 3G...
EDIT: Using Redsn0w RC18 and selecting 4.2.1 ipsw did the trick the 2nd time I tried it.
3G now running 4.2.1 with 05.12.01 preserved baseband.Last edited by Turnamental; 10-22-2011 at 04:22 AM.
