hi all just got my first iphone today and its ios 5.0 and was wondering if i could downgrade this to 4.3.3 to jailbreak it untethered. ihave tried searching google all morning but none of them seem to work
thanks my itunes is 10.3

You cannot. Normally you could but since you just got it, you obviously don't have the SHSHs to downgrade.

Could I use SHSHs from my dads iphone 4 his is 4.3.3

No. They are device specific.

No problem. It shouldn't be too much longer for untethered.
