Must I exercise caution when updating Cydia App's?
I am running an iPhone 4 with iOS 4... Since iOS 5 has launched, Cydia has a ton of updates... Should I be using caution on which app's I upgrade? Or will the iPhone know and only upgrade ones that will still work with iOS 4?
Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated. I've never had any trouble so far, but I haven't updated since the launch of iOS 5.
I would also like more of a consensus on this...I've done all updates so far but This last winterboard update that just came out today...I had one issue just a little bit ago where sb crashed after a theme change and respring...not sure why...
It should be fine. Updating Cydia stuff or even app store apps that are meant to bring compatibility for iOS 5 devices doesn't affect those on iOS 4.
The only thing I see being an issue is if a newly released app or tweak (that you don't already have) *requires* iOS 5. But generally speaking the stuff that already exists on iOS 4 or below now won't restrict updates to only iOS 5 users and disable anyone with iOS 4.
Yeah I just did the winterboard update as i read the update had something to do with libweather which I have cuz I have lockinfo..so maybe that's why it crashed earlier...thanks for the additional input!...see ya
