iPhone 4, SHSH 4.3.5, restore using Tiny Umbrella but always stuck in recovery mode
dear all
i have this problem, now itunes giving ios 5.0 when we want to restore
i have iphone 4, shsh saved using tiny umbrella, when i use "tss server" to restore to 4.3.5 apple stock firmware it always give errors 1013, and stuck in recovery mode, i did "exit recovery" using tiny umbrella, fixrecovery 4.3 all did not work, it always ended up in recovery mode
what i want to ask for opinion is, is it true even we have shsh for iphone 4 on our hand, we cannot restore to apple stock firmware? we have to use custom firmware?
or is there any other way/tricks to restore to 4.3.5 apple stock firmware? i don't want to upgrade to ios 5
I would use a custom firmware u can use snowbreeze or pwnagetool or if u have the shsh on ur computer I believe u can use ifaith to make a signed ipsw and just restore to that apple can't stop u and u don't have to edit the host file to bypass apples server I would prep the restore with ireb if ur going to use a custom ipsw it helps it restore
the point is i don't want a tethered jailbreak, infact i don't want to jailbreak, just make it to the original state, by updating to apple's stock firmware
is there any chance that i can restore to 4.3.5 without jailbreak or using custom firmware?
how to make custom firmware without cydia/jailbreak, and successfully restore to iphone 4 without having to tethered boot each time i shut my phone off
I believe u can download and use iFaith to dump the shsh blobs off a working phone for the current iOS u are running.. If ur phone is currently on 4.3.5 and actually working, u can run iFaith, put in DFU mode, use iFaith to dump the blobs, then use iFaith to create a signed ipsw if 4.3.5 so u can restore to it. As long as u don't unlock I think u will be ok...iyeow, is this not correct?
I used redsnow w/ custom ipsw made in pwnage. Redsnow helped boot kick after downgrade from iOS 5 to 4.3.3. Tinyumbrella didn't get me out of the boot loop
