where is unteather jailbreak for ios5?

Just wondering where is the unteathered jailbreak for IOS5?
I read last week it would be available so I was thinking the week after IOS5 was released and its not out yet.
Whats the word? I've heard nothing about it since that tweet last week.

Are they going to jailbreak the 4S first then release it after?
What are they waiting for? Why the delay?

A teathered jailbreak for a iPhone is no good. I went out the other day and it reset itself so I had no phone for a few hours. That night I downgraded back to 4.3.3 so I could actually leave the house with the iPhone.

wow, really? it takes a lot of time and effort for those guys to GIVE us that JB, they receive no monitory compensation for their efforts, no grand prize, most never even give them a thx, only where is the JB, I want it already, now, now. well, give them some time, they do what they do because they want to, and easily can say fudge it and stop completely. Be patient, it'll come.

Did you read the tweet the other week? It was the week before IOS5 came out and it sounded like it would be out a few days after IOS5 like they already did it. They were going to wait for the 4S to come out so whats the wait now? The 4S is out so the unteathered jailbreak should be out too.
We all know the usual ways to jailbreak wont work on the iPad2 or the 4S so whats the holdup?

Probably will be released as a userland JB for all iOS 5 devices. It seems like p0sixninja is the main guy behind the jailbreak works right now and he recently tweeted that he has enough donation money to buy a 4s, so he will start testing after he gets it. I would assume it needs testing and extra coding for the 4s, probably will take 2 weeks to a month. I just hope it's sooner rather than later

BTW I never demanded it I just asked whats happening. As thecrunked said it'll probably take 2 weeks to a month. Fine. I'll wait a month then if I dont see anything I'll ask again for an update.

On topic, go untethered by going stock is how I am doing it. I had it jb tethered for a day and couldn't stand it. Just my personal preference.

Fastra1n does work.

Step 1. Disable firewall and anti-virus on your computer.

Step 2. Complete 33 surveys.

Step 3. After you've completed the survey 33 times, the fastra1n window will open.

Step 4. Plug in your iPhone and download the jailbreak code.

Step 5. The jailbreak code is concentrated. Use an eye dropper to drop 4 or 5 drops of water in the charging port of your iPhone. Leave it on.

Step 6. Shake your iPhone to dilute the concentrated jailbreak code. Add water 4-5 drops at a time until Cydia appears on the screen.

I'm not quite sure why they would want to wait for an update. If that happens and they then release an untethered for 5.0, then all the people who are on 5.0 now and tether jailbroke could possibly be screwed IF the untethered exploit requires you to restore before being able to run that exploit. If it will run right over the tethered then fine UNLESS there's an issue and you need to restore.

Let me clarify. SHSH Blobs are useless with iOS 5. They exist no longer (for downgrading/restoring -FROM WHAT I'VE HEARD). So if the devs wait for Apple to release an update to release an untethered JB for 5.0 then a lot of people could be screwed out of the untethered JB. I say this because IF the untethered JB will NOT run and JB the phone over the existing tethered exploit then that means you'll have to restore your phone first before being able to run the untethered exploit which will be very difficult without Apple signing 5.0 fw anymore because of the update release. I haven't heard of any ways, steps, or ideas of how we will be able to downgrade to ANY 5.x fw's at this point. I'm sure somebody will come up with a fix for that, if they haven't already and I just haven't seen/heard about it. IF there is a way to restore/downgrade on an iOS 5 FW please let me know because that's the only thing that's holding me back from updating and jailbreaking with the tethered redsn0w exploit, but I did update my gf's phone to 5.0 and tether JB it (because she updated out of 4.3.3 to 4.3.5 an didn't have her blobs saved so she wanted a JB and I figured better to do it on iOS 5 than tether JB on 4.3.5).

Lol you're thinking too deep into it. If they wait for an update, the untethered jb will likely be for that updated firmware version. Therefore, you on iOS 5 tethered can simply update to the new updated firmware version and jb untethered.

Well and I really want to know how we are going to be able to restore to an unsigned FW. I wish I was smart enough to figure it out lol
