Question about upgrading to IOS 5?

Hello, I have a question about upgrading my already jailbroken iPhone4-firmware 4.3.1. Since my ip4 is already jailbroken, when an untethered jailbreak comes out for Ios5, when I install Ios5, will it delete all of my current jailbroken apps and start me on a clean slate? Will I have to redownload all of my apps from Cydia/Installus? N00b question I know, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
