3GS old bootrom FW5 JB.
BB 05.16.05. SHSH Saved 4.1 & 4.3.5.
Win XP.
How can I go to the iPad
BB 06.15.00 to unlock, thanks in advance.

Run redsn0w, there is an option to select ipad bb, you have to download ipad1,3.2.2 ipsw.

I have a 3GS old bootrom. Don't need to unlock, but want to update to ios5 and jailbreak untethered. Just use redsn0w? What's the benefit to the iPad bb? anything special I need to do for basic update/jailbreak.

so if i just do a normal jailbreak does it change the baseband? Doesnt change the bootrom does it? I dont really have any intentions of getting rid of the phone going to use it to play around with since I got a 4S.

Like I said, the JB works great... but not sure on your baseband (unlock different carriers). I would do more research on your BB before upgrading to ios5

I dont plan on using it as a phone again unless i lose/break the 4S. so i guess the base band doesnt really effect me?
