I have been thinking about this for weeks and I am stumped.
I have a jailbroken iPhone 4 with 749 apps all organized in 40 folders. And then bam I go to sync my iPhone a couple weeks ago and got the following message:
"iTunes can not read the contents of the iPhone. Goto the summary tab click Restore to restore this iPhone to factory defaults."
The iPhone lost all the contents of the iPod (music and video) but in every other way it is working normally. SBSettings shows I have about a gig of free space. I typically have about 200 meg of working ram.
To start over with that many apps having to organize it all over again just is overwhelming. I have a PKGBackup in the cloud (jailbrake app) but when you restore you simply can not squeeze any apps in to use PKGBackup for a restore....especially when you have 749 apps.
I had been using iOS 4.01. It had been very stable.
Has anyone have any work around to this issue? This is no normal or typical problem when you have to deal with a boat load of apps.
