    Default 3gs 4.2.1 firmware restore 3194 error

    Hi

I've been trawling through the forums trying to find information on how to restore my iPhone to it's original "un-jailbroken" 4.2.1 FW (or any other version that iTunes will recognise) but i'm confused as to what needs doing.

iTunes will not let me restore or update it, when i try i get error 3194. Tried by-passing the server using the cydia details in host file but I get the same problem.

What i'm not sure about is whether I need to do anything with my baseband or SHSH before going through the restore process with TU.

    Here's the information

    iPhone 3gs FW 4.2.1
    BB 05.15.04
    Jailbroken with redsn0w
SHSH blobs available on cydia 4.1, 4.2.1, 4.3, 4.3b1, 4.3.3, 4.3.5 (is this relevant as I dont actually want a jailbroken phone)

If anyone could help with this it would be much appreciated

    Thanks

You have to start tss server from TU , set hosts file towards cydia as well.

Yeah...and I would stay on 4.2.1 if I were u...I've read alot on apple forums about 3GS getting bricked by iOS 5...so I wouldn't go there either...SIM card reader issue it seems...4.2.1 is best...I've seen 4.3.3-5 is also ok..
