unlocked 3g 4.1 upgrade to 4.2 help!?!?!?! plz... thank you.

i have an unlocked iphone 3g on 4.1. could i upgrade it to 4.2 and maintain the unlock and jailbreak? or would it compromise it.

The wifi does not work on it and i was hoping that upgrading it would solve the problem.

if i restore it will i loose the unlock? if i lose it and the wifi problem is not due to software malfunction, then im screwed.

1. can i upgrade without losing unlock to 4.2, if so how do i do it?
2. if i restore it on 4.1 will i lose the unlock, and have to unlock it again?
3. ive looked for hours for ways to fix wifi problem and nothing works that i have come across.

Your baseband is not going to change and you can still unlock it.
You should stay at 4.1, you can restore to custom firmware of 4.1 or stock 4.1 and kick out error 1015.
You have to unlock with ultrasn0w again after any restore.
